In these last days, we live on the brink of all history coming to a climax. The plans and purposes of God are about to unfold. His bride, the bone of his bones and the flesh of his flesh, is about to be glorified as His bride. At the time of Jesus, the bride was thought of as a temple set aside for the groom. The bridegroom and bride were required to negotiate a "bride price" with the bride's father.

After coming to an agreement, a covenant would be drawn up, signed and sealed between the couple. When the bridegroom's father gave the ok to get his bride, one of the groomsmen would give a shout (like a trump), notifying the bride and the bridal party. The bride would then go through a washing, this is the blood of Christ that purifies and washes our sins away.
