Did you know you are Righteous before God - if you believe!
"Righteousness" is used in the New Testament to describe the position that Christians have before God because of our faith in Jesus Christ. This "righteousness by faith" was not possible before the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, so neither the Old Testament nor the Gospels talk about it.
No human being is "good enough" to earn righteousness in God's sight. Because we all sin, it is impossible to be "right" with God based on our own merits. But we can be righteous in His sight through faith in Jesus Christ. The Bible says: "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God".
